Due to various reasons (mainly us not being able to run as fast as we did years ago) we decided after much heartsearching that we would sell our last Welsh Blacks to a progressive and able young farmer. He had already bought most of our other cattle. So Juno, Jemma and Tamara have joined their cousins and half sisters in Lamphey and it was great to see them all meet up – they did recognise each other!

Our sheep flock has also been reduced, with a significant number of the younger ewes being sold as breeding stock. Henk and Willem, our Texel rams are still with us and enjoying semi-retirement (a bit like Brian really). Lambing is under way, thankfully all indoors in their nice cosy pens. When all the lambs are born, they will all go to their large field to graze the fresh grass.
